All training takes place in the new Junior Primary Multipurpose Facility.

What students will learn:

  • The Art of Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido
  • The Art of Ju-Jitsu
  • Ju-Jitsu throwing techniques and break falling
  • Tae Kwon Do fighting techniques and patterns
  • Bokken (Wooden Katana) attack and defence techniques and patterns
  • Bo and Nunchaku
  • Standard defence techniques against knives
  • Tae Kwon Do & Ju-Jitsu sparring techniques
  • Fitness, Endurance and Self Discipline

 

 

 

The club is not an official school sport and is a run independently by staff who have a passion for teaching martial arts. The club is available to all children from Grade 1 - 7.

To put it simply Taekwon-Do is a version of unarmed combat designed for the purpose of self-defence. It is more than just that, however. It is the scientific use of the body in the method of self-defence; a body that has gained the ultimate use of its facilities through intensive physical and mental training.

Hapkido is a dynamic and also eclectic Korean martial art. It is a form of self-defense that employs joint locks, techniques of other martial arts, as well as kicks, punches, and other striking attacks. There is also the use of traditional weapons, including a sword, rope, nunchaku, cane, short stick, and staff (gun, bō) which vary in emphasis depending on the particular tradition examined.

A serious student of Taekwon-Do will at all times be modest and honest. If confronted with injustice, he will deal with the belligerent without any fear or hesitation at all, with indomitable spirit, regardless of whosoever and however many the number may be.


Confucius declared," It is an act of cowardice to fail to speak out against injustice." As history has proven, those who have pursued their dreams earnestly and strenuously with indomitable spirit have never failed to achieve their goals.
