I am immensely proud and privileged to say that this is my eleventh year at Clifton.
As Head of Boarding I am very lucky to have a great team with me to help inspire the Clifton children, whatever their level of ability, to develop their talents and reach for excellence in everything they do. As House Master of Usher House I try and promote independence of thought, respect for others, creativity, and a sense of responsibility for one's own actions, and for the good of society. Throughout a boys’ time in Usher House he will have the strong support from myself as House Master, George McCorquodale, Sister Lang , the resident Gap Students and all the rest of the boys in the house. We aim to smooth the boys' passage through adolescence by providing a firm but friendly environment in which each boy flourishes and develops his own skills, interests and character. I have the pleasure in teaching Zulu to grades 5, 6 and 7. I am also a keen Sportsmen and very much enjoy coaching all sorts of Sports and at different levels throughout the year. In a world where much is changing, Clifton children are inculcated with the time-honoured values of honesty, courtesy, good manners and respect for other people. As a result, the children typically leave Clifton with a set of values, behaviours and skills which equip them to deal effectively with life at High School.
